How I met the client brief The Coca Cola LTD company has asked my independent production company to create an advertising campaign for a healthy fizzy drink. I have created an apple flavoured fizzy drink called "Aloha". The healthy factor of the fizzy drink which was required by Coca Cola LTD is that it contains no added sugars, artificial colours or preservatives as this makes it a healthier alternative to other fizzy drink brands which usually have a high sugar content to make them sweet, preservatives to boost their shelf life while also making the drink unhealthier and artificial colours which make the drink look more visually appealing but use unhealthy chemicals to make the drink appear the unnatural colour. Coca Cola LTD has asked for an advertisement in the format of a billboard, web banner and magazine advert.  I have provided for all three of these forms of advertising, making them all in a similar theme to further increase the recognisability and memorability of th...

The Aloha print and web adverts. Introduction Within this document I am going to be going over the processes in which I took to create both my print and web advertisements, I will also be displaying different examples of how these advertisements would look while being used on a billboard, website banner etc.  Creation process of print advert (Magazine/Newspaper format): For my background I started off with a slightly dark mustard yellow which was under the hex code #fcc654. I continued to use this background colour for my web advertisement and print advertisement in the magazine format. I then added an image of cartoon flames along the bottom of the poster as this is a reoccurring theme on the can of my product and the web advertisement. I then added my company logo which I had previously created by drawing out an apple with the curvature pen tool and adding an umbrella and sun behind it. The Aloha text was a font that I had found on DaFont.com called "retro groovy". I then a...

Codes and conventions The codes and conventions are the usual practices and techniques which are followed to create an effective advertisement. I have successfully implemented these principles into my print and web advertisements by following certain steps. I have created the slogan "sip into paradise with every gulp" to promote the idea that with my drink product the taste will put the consumer in a state of relaxation and delight, this is to make the product seem appealing or refreshing to any potential viewers as my goal is to keep the idea of my product in the minds of anyone who sees the advertisements because this can increase the amount of product consumers. On the front of my print advertisement I have included that my product is sugar free with no added colours or preservatives. This is a unique selling point for my product as typical carbonated drinks contain high amounts of sugar and artificial colours. This may make the product stand out and seem more appealing t...

Fonts   A font is a style of text that is used to create emotion towards the text being displayed, for example a more simple and classy font may be used for a more serious context or branding whereas a fun and interesting font may be used to be more visually appealing or be used for a light topic or branding. The font that I wanted for my brand needed to connote a tropical and fun theme so I have decided to use the font called "retro groovy" which is supposed to display an 80s theme font which is closely related to a hipster or summer style. I was looking to target the font towards a younger demographic as the font is not a serious font and is presented as a fun and happy font. colour scheme A colour scheme is a set of colours that are made up for a product or brand to create significance and display the emotion of the product or brand, for example darker colours may display a more serious and adult catered brand such as Powerade whereas brighter colours may cater towards a m...

M1 - Cross media advertising campaigns

Cross media advertising campaigns Coca-Cola's "share a coke" campaign The share a coke campaign was made in 2011 to increase consumer engagement for the coke company. They did this be integrating common names or phrases on their coke cans such as "share a coke with Abby" or "Share a coke with dad". This was to create a personal connection between the consumer and the product and this campaign was successful, generating a total of 1.5 billion personalized bottles all over the world.  The campaign leveraged through numerous social media platforms such as Facebook, twitter and Instagram to encourage consumers to share posts of themselves with a personalized bottle of their own name under the hashtag #ShareACoke, this became a popular hashtag thread and ended up growing the trend even further.  Coca-Cola increased the attention of the campaign by making a dedicated website for consumers to create their own personalized coke cans instead of finding the name...

I have decided to launch my project on the 30th February 2024 as this will give me more than enough time to go through any designing of my advertisements and planning out of my campaign which needs to be thought out before the advertisement campaign is introduced.    Influential adverts I have decided to choose 3 different drink advertisements which I will use to take influence from, this will reflect within my advertisements as I want to use influence from advertisements which are known to be successful. This will help me identify and understand what works amongst the audience.   I decided to use this drink advertisement which comes from the company sprite which displays their drink can as the main focus, enlarged within the center of the screen which is what I am wanting to incorporate into my advertisement as I am aiming for my product to look desirable within the advertisement so that the audience is interested enough to look at the other aspects and information ...

D1 - legal and ethical issues

legal and ethical issues Copyright Copyright is the legal right of the owner of intellectual property. This law was put in place to prevent people from stealing the work of other people without permission for their own use. This is a right that is automatically put in place as soon as the work has been produced, making sure that anyone who may want to use the work will need the owners permission beforehand. If they break the copyright law then they get the punishment of their own form of work being removed or they will not be able to make a profit from it. In my case, if my product is recreated by a company without my permission then I will have the right to take legal action. Within my campaign I also need to make sure that all images need to be taken by me so that I avoid any potential risks of copyright. However, If I was to break copyright laws accidentally then this could result in potential punishments such as the advertisements being removed from all media platforms or maybe eve...
