P3 genre and conventions research
Influential adverts
I have decided to choose 3 different drink advertisements which I will use to take influence from, this will reflect within my advertisements as I want to use influence from advertisements which are known to be successful. This will help me identify and understand what works amongst the audience.
I decided to use this drink advertisement which comes from the company sprite which displays their drink can as the main focus, enlarged within the center of the screen which is what I am wanting to incorporate into my advertisement as I am aiming for my product to look desirable within the advertisement so that the audience is interested enough to look at the other aspects and information on the advertisements poster.
I decided to choose this advertisement which comes from the company Juice Burst as I have taken influence from the vibrancy and message of positive health within the poster. This is what I want to include within my advertisement as I am wanting the vibrant colours to appeal to the younger target audience while also promoting my product as healthy.
I have decided to choose this advertisement which comes from the company Mirinda as I have taken influence from the summer theme which the advertisement promotes through the use of its slogan, summer related aspects and colour scheme which has been used. I am wanting my advertisement to be based around summer time which Is why I have decided to include the sun behind my logo within the sketches that I have created.
Key messages
For my advertisement I managed to plan out my key message which I was wanting to aim towards the audience. The key message which I was wanting to display for my targeted audience was relaxation and positivity, the way I did this is by using a positive colour scheme and message within the advertisements.
Target audience
Within my advertisements I had decided to target towards a younger audience of children aged 8+, due to this I had to make sure that my stylistic approach towards the advertisements would be visually appealing to this younger audience. One of the main ways which I managed to achieve this is through using a casual graphological style which also has a relaxed and happy theme to make the drink seem authentic and relatable to the audience compared to a brand such as Coca Cola which has a graphological style of high class and elegance.
Call to action
Within my advertisements I decided to use the slogan "Sip into paradise with every gulp" which is a subtle call to action for the audience to think about the product and consider purchasing the product the next time they see it. This because the word "paradise" psychologically invokes positive feelings and ideas about the brand which will make it seem more desirable to the audience.
Media choices
For my advertisements there are many different forms of media which I have decided to publish my advertisements within. For example, I have decided to use social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn. I have also decided to use traditional forms of media such as billboards, posters etc.
Campaign schedule
For my advertisements I have created a set campaign schedule for what I need to create leading up to the final product of the campaign. For example within the first week of production I made sure that I would be focusing on the planning of the campaign. Within the second week I will be focusing on the designing of the advertisements. Within the third week I would be making sure to go into the actual production of the advertisements and in the fourth week I would be peer reviewing the advertisement content and then finally publishing them to the public.
