The Aloha print and web adverts.
This is a depiction image of what my print advertisement would look like as a billboard.
Introduction
Within this document I am going to be going over the processes in which I took to create both my print and web advertisements, I will also be displaying different examples of how these advertisements would look while being used on a billboard, website banner etc.
Creation process of print advert (Magazine/Newspaper format):
For my background I started off with a slightly dark mustard yellow which was under the hex code #fcc654. I continued to use this background colour for my web advertisement and print advertisement in the magazine format.
I then added an image of cartoon flames along the bottom of the poster as this is a reoccurring theme on the can of my product and the web advertisement.
I then added my company logo which I had previously created by drawing out an apple with the curvature pen tool and adding an umbrella and sun behind it. The Aloha text was a font that I had found on DaFont.com called "retro groovy".
I then added in the key information of the product above the logo in a cherry red colour under the hex code #e60c2f. I then added a warp text effect onto my text called "arc" at a 50% bend to slightly wrap it around the logo and make the information seem more interesting. I used the same "retro groovy" font as the logo.
To finish off my print advertisement I added my product slogan "sip into paradise with every gulp" under the logo. I used the same cherry red colour and "retro groovy font" as the key information but this time with a different warp effect called "flag" with a bend of 100% to give the slogan a more visually appealing look.
Creation process of print advert (Billboard format):
I started off with the background theme which I used for the other advertisements.
I then added in a centralised picture of my product which had been previously designed in photoshop.
I then added the slogan at the top of the advertisement in large writing to make it the main eye catcher of the advertisement.
I then added my usual theme of the row of flames on the bottom of the advertisement as I want to stick to the same recognizable theme with all of my adverts.
I then put in the key information of the product using the same font and colour as the slogan but in a smaller size.
I then added in a small quote in the same font, colour and size as the key info which says "an apple flavoured healthy fizzy drink to make you feel good". This was to fill up the extra space of the right side of the advertisement and to further increase the appeal of the product,
Creation process of web advert:
As previously mentioned, I used the same background colour on the web advertisement as I did in the print advertisements.
Like the print advertisement and product can I also put a row of flames along the bottom of the web advertisement.
For the web advertisement I decided to greatly reduce the size of my logo and put it onto the right side of the banner to make enough room for the main slogan. The logo had to be reduced in size as web banners are typically small and compact.
I used the exact same slogan in the same font and colour for the web advertisement, this time I used a 72% bend on the "flag" warp effect as I wanted the slogan to take up the full space of the web banner to give it a more minimalistic look.
Finished product:
